Baba Yara (Bah-ba Yah-ra) was an exceptionally talented right winger who played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the national team, the Black Stars. Unfortunately, his playing days was cut short by an accident that left him paralyzed. Kumasi Sports Stadium is named after him.
